FAQs
What is the last order date for pre-Christmas deliveries?
To ensure pre-Christmas delivery, all orders should be received by 17/11/20
Why can’t I order one copy of a personalised calendar any more?
We are afraid that we have had to adjust our business, away from producing single copies of our popular personalised A3 calendars. Our minimum order quantity is now 4 calendars. We simply cannot remain competitive on orders for single calendars, despite having offered this in the past. We apologise that we no longer offer less than 4 calendars.
What size and format is required for digital images?
The better the original image, the better the finished product will be. The reproduction of images cannot exceed the quality of the images submitted, so it is best to send the highest quality images you have. All images supplied, should be at least as good as you would expect the printed results to be. If the supplied images are poor quality, blurred, or low resolution, then this will be reflected in the final output. Images should be as high resolution as possible and bear in mind that the size they will be used on the finished calendar will be considerably larger than a standard print or camera preview.
Technicalities
Bitmapped images such as photos & some logos should have a minimum resolution of 300 pixels per inch (PPI) at the size they are to be reproduced. A resolution less than this and any required enlargements may make the images look jagged and poor quality.
Images taken using a digital camera
For best results use a digital camera with a minimum of 5 mega pixels and set the picture resolution/quality to its highest or its largest setting. Low resolution/small images may print poorly. Please also name and make clear which of the files to use and where.
How do I get digital images to you?
There are limitations to sending large files via email, and we would recommend you send your high-res images on a CD to us, clearly labelled and using a secure delivery method. If you require any help with submitting your origination, please give us a call and we will be happy to advise you. We can also send you details of our preferred cloud-based file transfer service.
Do all my images have to be the same orientation?
Certainly not! Our standard A3 template includes the option to use both landscape and portrait images in the same calendar. The date pads are set according to which images you have and the image box can be adjusted in proportion to incorporate your image in the best possible dimensions. In fact, there are not many other on-line calendar companies who offer to keep your images in proportion, and often you will end up with an unsuitable crop of your images. Leave the fine detailed cropping and adjustments to the experts, and enjoy the finished results in a calendar to admire every month.
We also offer the option to have panoramic images. Please call us on 01206 844500 to discuss.
Can I send you prints of my photos to use in my calendar?
We have moved completely to digital origination and we would encourage you to send us your digital images on a CD for us to use on your calendars. We are able to accept original photographs, but these would need to be scanned in by us which will incur an additional charge of £2 +VAT per image in addition to the base cost of the calendar.
Is it possible to change the colour or design of my calendar?
Everything is possible! Our standard templates feature a standard design, but as the leading UK manufacturer of calendars, we are very well placed to offer you a variety of options and talk about what works best for you and your artwork. Please call us to discuss these.
What is the weight of the paper, backboard and cover?
The standard product of a personalised Kalend A3 calendar is printed on the following materials:
Cover and leaves: 170gsm coated gloss paper
Each calendar includes a sturdy cardboard backboard to ensure your calendar hangs professionally on the wall and does not buckle or curl.
Every calendar arrives packaged in a white cardboard mailing carton made of recycled board, and featuring a peel and stick closing.
Can the cover be printed full bleed?
With this style of calendar the cover cannot be printed full bleed. If you would like to consider a higher quantity of calendars (more than 25), a full bleed cover would be an option. Please call us to discuss.
Will I receive a proof of my calendar to approve before printing?
We are happy to provide a PDF via email prior to printing your order, however printed proofs would be at additional cost. If a proof is required, this must be advised at time of order.
How do I work out the cost of my calendars?
The prices shown here are purely a guide.
As each order is different, we are happy to work you out a price depending on your requirements. In terms of scale, the more calendars you have, the lower the unit price, but our Kalend products are designed to meet your exacting requirements, and we are happy to adapt our products and prices to suit. Please call us for a consultation.
When do I pay for my calendars and how do I do this?
Payment in full must accompany your order please. We are happy to accept a cheque in the post with your origination, or payment can be made over the phone using a credit or debit card. We are also able to accept a BACS payment transfer and payment by Paypal. Please call us to discuss your individual order.
What is the minimum quantity of calendars I can order?
Our minimum order quantity is 4 calendars. We simply cannot remain competitive on orders for single calendars, despite having offered this in the past. We apologise that we no longer offer less than 4 calendars.
When will my calendars arrive?

If you have a special event or anniversary in mind, please let us know and we will attempt to meet your deadline.
